Who you are buying from

Surf Monkey is a small clothing label operating from Colombo, Sri Lanka. Contact details are on the contact page. These terms apply to every order placed through this site.

Placing an order

Submitting the checkout form is an offer to buy, not a completed sale. The contract forms when we confirm your order, which a person does by phone, message or email. We may decline an order, and will tell you why, if an item has sold out, the delivery address is outside our courier network, or we cannot reach you to confirm.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Sri Lankan rupees and include the delivery fee shown at checkout. The price that applies is the one calculated on our side when the order is placed, which is why a cart left open since before a price change is repriced when you check out.

We take no card payments. Cash on delivery is paid to the courier; bank transfers are paid before dispatch, with the slip sent to us. Orders awaiting a transfer are held for 5 working days and then released back into stock.

Delivery

Delivery timings are estimates, not guarantees: once a parcel is with the courier its timing is theirs. We deliver within Sri Lanka only. Risk passes to you on delivery. If an address is wrong and a parcel comes back, we will resend it once you cover the second delivery fee.

Products as described

Everything is screen printed by hand in small runs, so slight variation between pieces is normal and is not a fault. Screen colours vary between devices. Measurements in the size chart are taken flat and carry a small tolerance.

Returns

Set out in full on the returns page, which forms part of these terms. Nothing there removes any right you have under Sri Lankan consumer law.

Your account

An account is optional. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for orders placed through your account. Tell us if you think somebody else has access and we will close it. We may suspend an account being used fraudulently.

Our designs

The Surf Monkey name, logo, graphics and photography are ours. Buying a tee buys you the tee, not the right to reproduce the artwork on anything else.

Limits

We are responsible for getting you what you ordered, or refunding it. We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as an event you missed because a courier was late. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and law

These terms may change; the version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. They are governed by the law of Sri Lanka. Questions go to lithanabeywardena6@gmail.com.
